At the age of 20 I moved to Dublin, came into contact with another language and discovered my curiosity for other cultures. My travelling spirit continued with Erasmus in Croatia, with a French immersion in Strasbourg. And although I still love to travel, I always returned to my hometown, Madrid. In love with Spain, I wanted to transmit this feeling to those who visit it.

My name is Ahtasham Khan and I am originally from India where I studied tourism and Spanish and worked as a tour guide too. My quest and love for Spain brought me here for further studies. After studying in the School of Hospitality and Tourism I got the license to work as tour guide and since then Madrid is my home. I am an extrovert and love showing the secrets of the places I discovered. I don’t believe in giving historical lectures but at the same time I ensure that you will really experience the places you visit. I look forward to seeing you in Madrid. Hasta Pronto!!

Being Madrileña but daughter of Andalusians, since I was little I loved to walk around Madrid and discover it with the eyes of someone from outside. I did Art History and specialized in Museum Education and Cultural Management. Since then I have been a Researcher at the International Foundation for the Protection and Dissemination of Art and a Collaborator at the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation. I have worked in many museums in the capital as an Educator and Cultural Mediator, always being a passionate defender of the diffusion of art in a close and dynamic way.

I entered the world of tourism in 2012 while living in Scotland, where I worked in Edinburgh’s museums and started sightseeing and cultural visits around the city. When I returned to Spain, I became an Official Andalusian Tourist Guide, as I discovered that being a Tourist Guide was my great vocation and an opportunity to continue marveling at the world that surrounds us. It fascinates me to see my city with the eyes of those who visit for the first time our city, for that reason I feel fortunate that this profession has chosen me.
